On Tuesday, March 22, we took the Drive Performance WRX back to Sommer's Subaru (Mequon, Wisconsin) to finish installation of Genuine Subaru Performance parts for the car.
Parts added by technician Matt Hetzel at Sommer's included a strut tower brace, lower chassis brace, performance exhaust system, turbo boost gauge, and KICKER® subwoofer. In addition, we mounted the car's standard summer performance tires on the O.Z. wheels chosen by Drive Performance readers and put them on the car.
All this was just in time for a late March winter storm.
We'll have more about these modifications in the next issue of Drive Performance magazine -- Version 8.2 -- which will mail in late July. If you don't have a subscription, sign up here. Otherwise, watch for the article on this website, along with Journal entries about our travels with the car.
