Nothing is ever simple. Perhaps I make these journeys more complex than they need to be.
After flying into Philadelphia for a day's worth of editorial meetings at Subaru of America, Inc. in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, four of us drove to New York City to attend the launch of the 2012 Subaru Impreza the next day. Our timing wasn't the best, and after inching through the approach to the Lincoln Tunnel for our last 4.6 miles at an average rate of 3.0 miles per hour, we finally reached our hotel.
I'm done compalning ... for now.
At the New York International Auto Show
The New York show reflects some of the optimism in the auto industry today. The displays are a little bolder, and the concept cars and new models at the show seemed a bit brighter.
The Subaru area was bedecked in bright silver and blue, and two turntables were visible in the flooring. Subaru welcomed journalists with its new message, "Confidence in Motion." The purpose of the Subaru press conference for the media was to introduce the all-new 2012 Impreza.
The press conference was available live at the Subaru website, and it remains accessible on the site. That is the presentation that journalists saw on April 20. Today, other information is available on the site as well.
Among the information and images found in the press kit is an interesting video that captures some of the essence of Subaru, leading to the "Confidence in Motion" theme. Take a look here.
Enjoy!
