Dave Mirra returned to the Global RallyCross Championship series the weekend of April 15 and 16 to compete in Round 2 at Old Mill Adventure Park in Snoqualmie, Washington. The muddy grounds of the DirtFish Rally School were not very hospitable to Mirra and Subaru Rally Team USA (SRT USA). The team had to overcome a rollover during practice on Friday and a confrontation with a cement barrier that turned #40 WRX STI into a three-wheeler. Still, Mirra finished 6th overall by the end of competition.
While coverage of the event will be shown on ESPN May 14, you can read a full account of the weekend and view more photos at subaru.com/rally. More information also can be found on the RallyCar site. In addition, here is a "Sights and Sounds" video regarding SRT USA's weekend.
SRT USA returns to Washington state during the April 30-May 1 weekend to compete in the Olympus Rally, which takes place on the Olympic Peninsula. Find more information about it here.
