I love opening e-mail on Mondays because I can count on one or two surprises.
Among a couple hundred missives from last weekend was a Subaru press release informing enthusiasts that it has released a film about the Subaru Rally Team USA (SRT USA) season leading up to X Games, which took place during the weekend. It touches on stage rally and the Global RallyCross campaigns. Take a look here.
The press release is attached at the end of this entry.
In X Games Rally Car Racing, SRT USA's David Higgins won the bronze medal. (Find X Games coverage at the SRT USA site, plus we'll have more coverage of X Games 17 in the next issue of Drive Performance magazine.)
Other Subaru Excitement
David Higgins has been a busy driver throughout 2011. In July, he clinched the Rally America National Championship in New England. Find a video about the New England round of the championship here, along with other Subaru performance videos.
Higgins also won the Mt. Washington Climb to the Clouds Hillclimb in June. Read more about that here.
SRT USA driver David Higgins' brother Mark is also a racer. Mark Higgins took a stock WRX STI around the Isle of Man TT motorcycle course and set a record doing so. We made note of it at the time, but a film has been released since then, and here is the link to it.
